Be Kind To Yourself And Others #WMHD
It's World Mental Health Day and my day begins with an early morning swim. Maintaining a healthy work-life balance and squeezing in some exercise can seem difficult. I find that exercising first thing - I'm usually in the pool by 06:15 - is a great way to start the day. There's also a community of early morning swimmers. Looking after my mental health has always been important working as a freelancer where we can feel more isolated and under pressure to fill our diary and more so to me now since returning to uni full-time.
I had a meeting before lunch so headed into uni where some therapy dogs were on campus with UCL Cares who also had a selection of materials advising students how best to look after their mental health. A slightly strange photograph here but the biscuits were actually blue!
